Dr Soliman is a Consultant Cardiothoracic Intensivist, ECMO, Mechanical Circulatory Support, Clinical Lead for Organ Donation and Advanced Critical Care Practitioners at Harefield Hospital, the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals in London, UK. His main expertise is in Critical Care Echocardiography, Lung Ultrasound, Mechanical Circulatory Support, Heart and Lung Transplantation. Honorary Senior Lecturer at the School of Cardiovascular, Metabolic Sciences and Medicine at King's College London. Trained in Critical Care Medicine at Alexandria Univers ity, Egypt and obtained a masters degree in Critical Care Echocardiography from the same university in 2008. Elected Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (UK), American Board of Echocardiography, European Diploma of Intensive Care Medicine, Diploma in Cardiology, London, UK. Post-graduate Diploma in Clinical Education, University of Edinburgh. Elected Member of the Board and Councilor for Echocardiography at the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging of the European Society of Cardiology. Elected Fellow of the Higher Education Academy of the UK (FHEA). Fellow of the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (FEACVI). Fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography (FASE). Lead editor of the latest Springer textbook ‘Cardiopulmonary Point of Care Ultrasound’ published in 2023. Dr Soliman was awarded and nominated for several national and international awards including being awarded the prestigious EACVI Excellence in Education Award in 2021, nominated for the Best New Education Programme by the Intensive Care Society of the UK and nominated for the Guy’s and St Thomas Hospitals Consultant Teacher of the Year Award for the years 2022 and 2024. In 2024, he was awarded a Visiting Professor role at Mayo Clinic Florida, USA. He delivered over 200 lectures, webinars and symposia in many countries around the world, and he is a regular invited faculty on critical care echocardiography, haemodynamics, mechanical circulatory support and point of care ultrasound
